This has been an ongoing process that began in 2019. These activities included feedback from developers and business owners, reviewing both local and national trends and practices, and doing staff research to give the best solution to the community.

Minnesota BBQ Place Gets Bad Press From One Little Tweet

The power of social media. Can be good, can be pretty awful, too. This BBQ place is located in Jordan, a little South of the Twin Cities. It's near Shakopee and Burnsville. And a seemingly innocuous Tweet from a Minnesota sportscaster went viral. And not at all for a good reason. And this is so unfortunate because this is a relatively new business, and with the restaurant climate as it is, it's a tough go. And this isn't helping.

Rituals and special treats mark return to in-person funerals

After 15 months of postponed and online funerals, Simonet Funeral Home in Stillwater found itself back up and running in a big way earlier this month. On June 11, more than 225 people packed into St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stillwater to honor and celebrate the life of longtime north Washington County dairy farmer Bill Reuter, who had died a week earlier at the age of 83. The night before Reuter’s Mass of Christian burial, more than 300 people attended his visitation at Simonet.

Fire heavily damages Buca di Beppo restaurant in Burnsville

The Buca Di Beppo Italian Restaurant in Burnsville sustained significant damage in a fire on Wednesday, Doug Nelson, a fire marshal with the Burnsville Fire Department said. Crews were called to the scene for a wood chip fire, Nelson said, but upon arrival, firefighters learned the flames spread into the building and were coming from the roof.

Gas savings: The cheapest station in Faribault

(FARIBAULT, MN) According to Faribault gas price data, you could be saving up to $0.01 per gallon on gas. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Cenex at 28 E Division St was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.84 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Shell at 628 Central Ave, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.85.
