Taylor County Man Injured In Fiery Elkton Crash

A Campbellsville man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on West Main Street in Elkton Friday morning. Elkton Police say 68-year-old Tommy Pyles was westbound when for an unknown reason his car ran off the road and struck a utility pole. The utility pole broke in half and the vehicle then caught fire. Pyles was treated on scene by Todd County EMS but refused to be transported to the hospital.

In February of 2022, Henry Harvey of Columbia Kentucky was arrested when he allegedly traveled to Madison, Indiana to have sex with who he believed to be a 13 year old female. Harvey arrived in Madison to pick up the female, but was taken into custody by MPD detectives. This undercover case by MPD detectives was conducted as part of our partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children task force. The ICAC task force is a joint federal and state task force that targets online sexual predators.

Residential Structure Fire Press Release

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a working house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found moderate smoke showing from the side of a house. Firefighters searched for occupants, extinguished the fire, and provided an overhaul. No firefighters or civilian injuries were reported. The cause is suspicious in nature and is being investigated by Campbellsville PD.
