Street signs up for Herbert McIntosh Jr. Street

Police officers who worked alongside the late Herbert McIntosh Jr. are thrilled that a McAlester street has been renamed in his honor. The stretch of South Fourteenth Street between Wade Watts Avenue and Carl Albert Parkway is now officially South Herbert McIntosh Jr. Street. It runs for several blocks adjacent to the former L'Ouverture gymnasium and McAlester's Michael J. Hunter Memorial Park.
