Camp County Deputies arrested Teresa Kay Harmon, 22, of Pittsburg, after a traffic stop last Monday on drug charges. Authorities seized over eight grams of methamphetamine. She was pulled over for a failed license plate light.

Camp County Sheriff’s Office worked a shooting Thursday morning before 5:00 at a residence on CR 4151. Dispatch was on the phone while a suspect tried to break into a mobile home with a knife. The homeowner shot the intruder who was taken to Pittsburg’s hospital and airlifted to a Tyler hospital in unknown condition.

NE Texas Man Arrested In Catalytic Converter Thefts

Camp County Deputies arrested 35-year-old Brett David Perry for felony theft of more than $2,500 and under $30,000. He had allegedly been stealing catalytic converters while working for a business in Mt Pleasant. So far, officials have recovered 28 of the converters. Confiscated parts recovered could also be related to thefts in neighboring areas. Pittsburg and Mt. Pleasant Police participated in the investigation.

Man Sentenced In Camp County Fatal Crash

A Camp County jury convicted 69-year-old Mack Curtis Ivory of Intoxication Manslaughter in connection with the fatal crash that claimed the life of 65-year-old Marva Jewel Godbolt. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Ivory that went out of control, skidded across both road lanes, and hit a large tree. The court sentenced Ivory to ten years in prison.

Camp County man pleads guilty to drug trafficking in East Texas

CAMP COUNTY, Texas — A Camp County man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to distributing methamphetamine, marijuana and other drugs with others in East Texas. Nathan Paul Hart, 34, of Leesburg, entered a guilty plea to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
