MAHONING TWP. — A 90-year-old Danville woman is in critical condition after losing control of her car in the Woodbine Lane Geisinger parking garage Monday afternoon. According to The Press Enterprise, police said Edith Barnhart struck two vehicles and the garage wall. Police said that Barnhart was taken to the Geisinger emergency room for treatment. It was a pedestrian killed in a vehicle crash over the weekend in Plymouth. The Luzerne County Coroner says 86-year old James Mahon of Plymouth, was struck by a vehicle while he was walking near theTurkey Hill convenience store on East Main Street Saturday afternoon. The car careened into the store's parking lot. An autopsy Monday determined Mahon died of multiple traumatic injuries caused by the crash, and the manner of death was ruled accidental. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Plymouth police and State Police. The name of the driver has not been released.

An Ashland man is facing charges after leading borough police in a pursuit on Sunday. According to Ashland Police, on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 around 6:00pm, Borough Police Officer Andrew Weaver was on patrol and observed Joseph Schmidt Jr., 22, get into a GMC Sierra pickup truck and drive away from the 1300 Block of Walnut Street.

A traffic study has discovered one Bloomsburg roadway is the most traveled. A ten-day examination found of the more than 10-thousand drivers that used Fort McClure Boulevard during that period, the majority of them were speeding. The speed limit in the area clocked is 25 miles per hour. The heaviest traffic was noted between Noon and 4 pm. The study was undertaken as officials consider converting a portion of the boulevard to one-way for a proposed bike and walking path.

Sheetz convenience stores have announced that some of its convenience stores will lower some gas prices to $3.99 a gallon through the Fourth of July holiday. The lower prices are “effective immediately.” Unleaded 88 gasoline will sell for $3.99 a gallon while the E85 will sell for $3.49 a gallon thru Monday July 4th. The price cuts are only available at the stores that carry those grades of gasoline. That includes the station in Shavertown and the Sheetz near Scranton high school. You also need to check your owner's manual to see if your car can use the 88 and 85 grades of unleaded gasoline. 88 is acceptable for most vehicles manufactured from 2001 on.
