LANGDON, N.D — Langdon baseball’s Brady Regner takes home the final DJ Colter high school play of the week win. Regner’s leaping snag against Lamoure-Litchville-Marion in the state semifinals won with 52 percent of the votes. Congrats to Regner and the Cardinals.

LANGDON – A 28-1 record during the 2021 high school baseball campaign, coupled with winning the 2021 NDHSAA Class B Baseball State Championship over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion on June 5, might have enough. To some, this might have been the pinnacle Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich could have reached in terms of conquering the baseball diamond.

LANGDON – If you thought it was a coincidence, it could have certainly come off as such. A 2021 postseason run that inevitably ended with winning the NDHSAA Class B Baseball State Tournament would not have occurred for the Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich Cardinals if they first did not take care of business against the Grafton Spoilers. And take care of business the Cardinals did. In two 2021 Region IV Tournament games against them, the Cardinals outscored the Spoilers, 19-7, and swept them in two straight contests.

MAYVILLE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The No. 5 seeded Carrington Cardinals lost their first round game in the Region 2 tournament on Saturday afternoon 19-3 to No. 4 seeded Langdon/Edmore/Munich at Mayville State University. Carrington lost by 10-run rule in five innings, they end their inaugural season at 2-8 overall, Langdon/EM improves to 4-4 overall.

CANDO, N.D. - Towner County Medical Center in Cando was recently approved for a more than $10 million loan to construct a new state of the art medical facility. The loan, approved by the UDSA Rural Development, will go towards constructing a 76,000 square foot critical access hospital and nursing home.
