Kate Smith Golf Clinic is Tuesday at Lakeview Golf Course

Smith is a 2012 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School, a five-time individual Minnesota state golf champion, the 2021 Big Ten Champion, and currently golfs on the Epson Tour. “I usually have a lot of time at home over the summer,” Smith told KDLM. “But this year I only have six days total to see people and play golf with them. This clinic is going to be a fun way to see everybody, answer some questions, or wants to talk golf I’ll be out on the range hitting some shots. It’s a good way to thank my sponsors and the people who have supported me throughout my career.”

It has been a true blessing and life-changer for us. Life Link III Emergency Response Helicopter Base Officially Operational in Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Life Link III, a new emergency response helicopter base of operations in Detroit Lakes is officially operational. Life Link III operates ten helicopter bases that include Alexandria, Blaine, Brainerd, Duluth, Hibbing, Rush City, and Willmar in Minnesota, and Marshfield, Rhinelander, and Rice Lake in Wisconsin. The company’s helicopter and airplane services provide on-scene emergency response and inter-facility transport for patients requiring critical care.

May 23, 1970 - June 23, 2022. Shannon Burnette, age 52, of Naytahwaush, MN, died on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home due to natural causes. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28 at Samuel Memorial Episcopal Church in Naytahwaush. An all-night visitation will be held at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex, beginning at 5:00 pm on Monday, June 27, 2022, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday for one hour before the funeral. Burial will take place at Samuel Memorial Episcopal Cemetery.
