Here’s the cheapest gas in Detroit Lakes Saturday

(DETROIT LAKES, MN) For bargain hunters there may be no better target than gas, with the cheapest station in the Detroit Lakes area offering savings of $0.20 per gallon. Holiday at 303 Frazee St E was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $2.74 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at Tesoro at 444 Morrow Ave, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.94.

New permanent building in the works for Faith Christian School in Detroit Lakes

After 25 years of operating out of temporary classrooms, Faith Christian School is getting a permanent home. The Detroit Lakes parochial school broke ground in early May on a construction project that will add four new classrooms, a half-gym, kitchen, storage space and more to the back of Faith Lutheran Church, doubling the school's previous space for its K-8 classes and also making room for a new full-time preschool program.

FARGO -- Hawley softball is heading back to the state tournament for the first time in seven years, winning the Section 8AA title over Pequot Lakes, 8-7.
