Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Insider Teases Long Awaited Feature

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will reportedly feature a much-requested, long-awaited feature. Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the best battle royale games thanks to it using Modern Warfare as a foundation. It has incredibly tight and satisfying gunplay, fun maps that allow for all kinds of strategies, vehicles, and much more. With that said, there are still some kinks that need to be worked out, and that is largely because of that aforementioned foundation. There are some huge issues with things like movement in Warzone, such as the fact your character struggles to climb up some very simple rocks and can't swim. Thankfully, it seems like one of those things will be fixed in the upcoming sequel.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Reportedly Changing Very Controversial Feature

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is reportedly making changes to the series' most controversial feature. Over the past few installments -- Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, etc. -- one of the biggest talking points in the COD community is skill-based matchmaking, more commonly known as SBMM. Skill-based matchmaking has always been a thing in ranked modes. The problem for many COD fans is that it's now also in casual modes. This means no matter if you're playing competitive or more casually, you're being placed with people of similar skill. Over the last few installments, the effectiveness of this type of matchmaking has increased dramatically, which is why so many are now noticing it, and this is why it's been a big talking point the last few years not just in the Call of Duty community, but across the whole industry. As you would expect, it's not going anywhere with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but changes are being made to it for this year's installment.

Call of Duty Gameplay Leak Reveals First Look at New Game

A new Call of Duty leak is making the rounds. The leak doesn't come the way of official channels, but has been validated by several prominent Call of Duty leakers and insiders. That said, right now, it's not clear what exactly the footage is of. More specifically, it's not clear if it's pulled from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer mode or the rumored DMZ mode or if it's pulled from Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Of course, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be very similar in terms of look and feel, so a leak for one is more or less a leak of the other, but they are technically separate products and right now there's no word of which the footage is of.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Will Reportedly Feature Classic Modern Warfare 2 Maps

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will reportedly feature maps from 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The 2009 shooter helped cement the series as a permanent entertainment gold mine for Activision. After the success of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, its sequel went on to sell gangbusters and become a staple of the Xbox 360 era thanks to its snappy gameplay, iconic maps, rich campaign, and much more. It is still extremely beloved and has had many begging for a remake for quite some time, but fans will instead be treated to a sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot this coming fall. A few weeks ago, Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and is expected to officially unveil the game sometime in the coming weeks. Activision also confirmed a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone earlier this year, something rather unusual for a free-to-play battle royale game.
