49-year-old man missing from Glimer County for nearly 2 weeks

GILMER COUNTY, Ga. — The Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in finding a 49-year-old man who was last seen nearly two weeks ago. According to the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office which put out an alert on Tuesday, Terry Cantrell also known as “TC” was last seen on June 5 walking from in the area of Hudson Martin Road and Highway 52 East.

Police: Waleska man emailed himself multiple child porn images

A Waleska man is in Cherokee County custody on charges that he emailed himself sexually explicit content involving children. Jonathan Allred, 49, of Waleska is charged with five counts of sexually exploiting children, a felony. He's accused of emailing himself in February multiple videos in GIF form of children under 16 engaged in sexual acts, according to his arrest warrant filed Sunday by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Judge increases sentence to life for kidnapping and rape of a woman

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – A judge on Tuesday increased the sentence against Richard Marvin Smith in the trailer rape and kidnapping case from 2019. A woman who admitted she was a meth addict at the time, said she was lured to a trailer in Dalton to take drugs, but she was held against her will and sexually assaulted multiple times.
