The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department is asking for people who reside on southwest Highway 116 and State Route D that have a camera system that faces the road to contact them.

CALDWELL COUNTY, MO – The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department is requesting assistance from the public in their investigation into structure fires on May 10th near Polo. Detectives are requesting residents who reside on SW Highway 116 and State Route D that have a road-facing camera system, or anyone present at any of the fires who were taking photos or video to contact Detective Kirkendoll at 816-586-2681.

Caldwell County Sheriff's Department asks the public for any video or pictures of three arson scenes as they search for the person responsible.

CALDWELL COUNTY, MO – An accident in Caldwell County late Sunday afternoon resulted in three injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash occurred as a 16-year old female driver from Kidder was crossing US 36 at Business 36 when she failed to yield for a vehicle driven by 58-year old Olathe, Kansas resident Patricia Eggers.

Two accidents in the area counties resulted in four with minor or moderate injuries over the weekend. Saturday at about 1:00 pm an accident on Missouri 129 near Green City, a two-vehicle accident left one driver with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 25-year-old Jerold M Robertson of Branson was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital following the accident. The report states Roberston was attempting to pass a tractor, driven by 53-year-old Timothy S Harrelson of Milan. Harrelson had slowed to make a left turn and the tractor was struck by the Robertson vehicle. Harrelson was not injured.

Two teenagers from Kidder were among three people injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Hamilton in Caldwell County. The crash occurred as a pickup containing the teenagers was crossing Highway 36 when the driver allegedly failed to yield for a westbound car. Both of the vehicles were demolished when they collided on Business 36.

CALDWELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Sunday in Caldwell County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 GMC Sierra driven by a 16-year-old girl from Kidder was northbound crossing U.S. 36 and failed to yield. A westbound 2019 Ford Expedition driven by Patricia L. Eggers, 58, Olathe, struck the pickup.

Judy Elaine Moyer age 80, of Polo, passed away at her home on May 14, 2022. She lived in Polo all of her life. Judy was born on Nov. 23, 1941, in Richmond, to Joseph Richard and Betty Mae (Wormsley) Leamer. She graduated from the Polo High School in 1960. Judy was a homemaker and she very much loved to cook.
