Hurricanes win another meet at Pocahontas

The Mountain Home Hurricanes swim team was able to win another meet on Saturday. The Hurricanes beat the newly-formed Jonesboro Shark Waves by 23 points at Pocahontas. Ajay Reiss won 100-yard freestyle for ages 13 and 14, Joia Traver won girls’ race for ages 15 to 18, and Asa Norwick won the senior boys’ event.

Thomas Richard Donovan, 84, of Jacksonport, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay. He was born October 13, 1937 in Lyndon Station, son of the late Thomas Joseph and Marie Elizabeth (Riddlestine) Donovan. Tom graduated from Madona High School before enlisting in the United States Army National Guard. He owned and operated Donovan Mirror and Glass Company.
