Gomez walks off Jacksonville to end three-game skid
MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds walked off the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in game five of a six-game series at AutoZone Park on Saturday night, winning the game by a final score of 4-3. Right fielder Moises Gomez came to the plate with the bases loaded and no one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, looking for his first base hit of the game. The right-handed hitter, still in his first week at Triple-A, drove a line drive to center field to score pinch runner Delvin Perez.

Two from Atlanta community injured in crash on Highway 63
Two Macon County residents were hurt Friday afternoon when a sports utility vehicle traveled into the path of a car on Highway 63. Two passengers in the car, 28-year-old Theresa Licht and 23-year-old Justice Licht, both of Atlanta, were taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Injuries were moderate for Theresa and minor for Justice Licht. The driver of the car, 51-year-old Randy Licht of Macon, and the driver of the sports utility vehicle, 64-year-old Brenda Dawson of Bevier, were not reported hurt.

Anna Elizabeth “Diddy” Lemming of Salisbury, MO, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. Anna was born on July 18, 1927, in Keytesville, MO, the daughter Carl and Emma Hall (Fleet) McCart. She was united in marriage to Warren Lemming on May 29, 1947, in Salisbury, MO. Anna worked at the Biltwell Clothing Factory in Salisbury for many years. She was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed working in her yard, flowers, word searches, playing solitaire, and spending time with her family. She is survived by two sisters, Lucille Billups and husband Gale of Salisbury, MO, Shirley Latamondeer of Salisbury, MO, and several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren on January 21, 2008, two brothers, Lawrence and Homer McCart; four sisters, Irene Cracco, May Soto, Faye Still and Maude Mazzacavallo. A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 10:30 am at the East Lawn Memory Gardens in Salisbury, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Larry’s Warrior Foundation.
