Big Spring’s Kris Hise hired to coach Steers basketball

Graham High School athletic director Kenny Davidson has found his guy to lead the Steers basketball team. Kris Hise, formerly of Big Spring, was selected for the job and started this week. On top of his duties with boy’s basketball, he will coach the Steers cross country team and will serve as an assistant in golf. Hise will teach special education at GHS.

Jonas Arellano and Evan Moore named as 2021 Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Breckenridge High School

The 2021 Breckenridge High School Valedictorian and Salutatorian are Jonas Arellano and Evan Moore, respectively. Arellano has a GPA of 4.31 and plans to attend the University of Texas, majoring in economics. He is a member of the National Honor Society and was named to the Academic All-State teams in Football, Basketball, Track and Baseball. He also was named the 2021 Breckenridge High School Great Lord Chamberlain.
