Bottoms up: Cache County Council approves ordinance to allow conditional alcohol vending at fairgrounds

In a split vote on Tuesday evening, the Cache County Council approved an ordinance allowing alcohol to be served at certain events at the Cache County Fairgrounds. According to Bart Esplin, the manager of the fairgrounds, there have been numerous requests for alcohol to be available at activities such as bike tours, fish and wildlife group gatherings and cultural events.

LOGAN — The first case of bird flu in a wild bird was recently confirmed after a dead great horned owl tested positive in Cache County. The highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus had already been confirmed in commercial and backyard chicken populations, as well as at Zootah in Cache Valley. More than a million birds had to be de-populated at a commercial egg factory in Cache Valley while the discovery at Zootah prompted an immediate quarantine of the zoo at Willow Park.

United Way of Cache Valley awarded a $200,000+ grant to support senior volunteer program – Cache Valley Daily
