Legendary Latta girl's basketball coach calls is a career

ADA, Oklahoma (KTEN) - KTEN can confirm that longtime Latta head girl's basketball coach Bruce Plunk is retiring as first reported by The Ada News. Plunk leaves a legacy helping lead the Lady Panthers to multiple OSSAA state tournament appearances. His son Clay, an assistant on staff, will step up as the school's next head coach.

The annual Artesian Arts Festival is set for Saturday

SULPHUR, Okla., (KTEN)-- Saturday Chickasaw art and culture will be displayed at the 9th Annual Artesian Arts Festival in downtown Sulphur. "We are going to have over 50 Chickasaw artists 'we'll have everything from jewelry, pottery, painting, textiles,” Executive Officer for the Chickasaw Nations Culture and Humanities division said. “Patrons get to talk to the artists and get to know the artists a little bit because that's sometimes part of the fun, getting to know the artists on a personal basis."

Nancy June (Collins) Morgan was born on August 10, 1950, at De Lay Hospital in Sulphur, to Mr. Nathaniel Valentine “Vol” Collins Jr. and Mrs. Lavita Iris Collins. She passed on to join her redeemer on June 12, 2022, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 2 days. She married David W. Morgan of Mill Creek on April 1, 1975, in Gainesville, TX. They had two sons together and later divorced in 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Christina Carrion of Fate, Texas; and two sons, David N. Morgan and James L. Morgan, both of Sulphur. Nancy is also survived by her brother, John D. Collins of Fate, TX, and sister Mary Ann Wallace of Ringling, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
