Fairmont gas price survey: Cheapest station saves $0.20 per gallon

(FAIRMONT, MN) Gas prices vary across in the Fairmont area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.20 per gallon. On Saturday the cheapest gallon of unleaded regular in the area was at Casey's at 202 E Blue Earth Ave. Regular there was listed at $2.94 per gallon Wednesday, compared to $3.14 at Cenex at 1317 N State St, which GasBuddy clocked as the most expensive station in the area.

Charges: Monument maker scammed grieving customers, business owner

A New Ulm monument maker is facing numerous felony charges after he allegedly scammed his grieving customers, and the previous owner of the business. Jesse Lee Ellerbroek, 43, of Winthrop, is accused of swindling customers through his company, Heritage Memorial and Stone Creation. A criminal complaint says the business was closed as of April 5, 2020, and Ellerbroeck had left town without delivering headstones or completing stone setting or engraving work.

Here’s the cheapest gas in New Ulm Saturday

(NEW ULM, MN) According to New Ulm gas price data, you could be saving up to $0.05 per gallon on gas. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Luepke Oil at 1400 South Valley St was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.84 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Freedom at 627 N Minnesota St, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.89.
