Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Arco Ward Building, 701 County Road, Arco, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Lost Rivers Cemetery.

Ranger districts schedule open house events

SALMON, Idaho (KIFI) — Three ranger districts on the Salmon-Challis National Forest will be sponsoring open house events in its neighboring communities the week of June 6-10. Each event will feature stations where stakeholders can learn about the priority programs in each district, explore recent work and plans for the 2022 field season, and address their questions or concerns directly with specialists from their respective districts.

Forest Service plans open houses

Three open houses where people can learn about forest projects and ask questions of Forest Service personnel are planned in Challis, Mackay and North Fork in early June. The events are geared to three ranger districts in the Salmon-Challis Forest. Stations will be set up where people can learn about the priority programs in each district, hear about plans for 2022 projects, bring up their concerns and ask questions of forest specialists.

5:05 a.m. The Challis ambulance crew was sent to a medical call on Round Valley Road. 12:05 p.m. Deputy Ron Pumphrey reported an accident on Idaho Highway 75 near Stanley. 10:17 a.m. Deputies Shade Rosenkrance and Kyle O’Brien responded to a report of a vehicle that had jackknifed at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and Fish Hatchery Road near Mackay.
