1 secretly dominant pitcher from all 30 teams

As baseball becomes more specialized, as more young relievers are called up just to blow fastballs past guys and then go home, as strikeouts keep ticking up, you’re going to see more and more of what I like to call Roman Candles: Relievers who come out of nowhere and light up the sky, even though you previously had no idea who they were. Some of them hang on to become Josh Hader. But all are incredible, if even just for a short, glorious period of time.

Maryland Weather: Rain Showers Continue But Expect A Sunny Weekend

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Rain showers continue with some thunderstorms around the Central Maryland area until around midnight.   Friday morning and afternoon a very strong line of storms moved across the entire region—with numerous severe thunderstorm warnings and some tornado warnings too. Despite all those warnings, no tornadoes were reported. But lots of areas did see straight-line wind damage from the storms.   Overnight some lingering showers are possible, but the trend will be to gradually dry out by morning.  More sunshine will be arriving on Saturday along with much warmer temperatures.  By Sunday, it will warm with even more highs in the mid-80s.  On Memorial Day, hotter temperatures and plenty of sunshine will push thermometers to 90 degrees.

MLB world blasts Red Sox after epic bullpen meltdown

The first six innings of Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles were a dream for the Boston Red Sox. The last three were a dream, as well — a nightmare. The Red Sox led 6-0 after two innings and 8-2 after six. At that point, starter Garrett Whitlock was pulled and things went astray. The Orioles chipped away at the deficit in the seventh inning, scoring three runs. When Baltimore’s Luis Urias came up with two outs in the eighth inning, two more runs had scored, cutting the deficit to 8-7. He hit a slow grounder to third base. Rafael Devers tried to throw Urias out, but his throw was not only late but wild.
