It's a big month for the Hruska Public Memorial Library in David City. In June, the library is coming up on several anniversaries. The library has been in the same building at 399 N. Fifth St. in David City for 25 years and is also celebrating 130 years of service in David City.

YORK – According to the latest information from the Four Corners Health Department, the risk dial remains in the green category, which indicates low risk regarding COVID-19. They also indicate that the risk dial will continue to be displayed on their website through at least June 30. If current trends continue (in the positive way), the risk dial might be discontinued at that time.

Kan. teen dies from injuries after wrong-way, head-on crash

BUTLER COUNTY—A Kansas teen injured in a head-on crash just before 11:30p.m. Friday in Butler County has died. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Amy L. Brown, 46, Eureka, was eastbound in the westbound lanes of Kansas 254 just west of El Dorado. The Nissan struck a 2009 Chevy Impala driven by Dylan M. Lawson, 19, Augusta, head-on.

Relay kicks off celebration activities this week

The 35th annual Butler County Relay for Life is kicking off this week, with the online auction portion of the celebration starting Friday morning.
