Ardmore track and field duo sign to run for OU, Southeastern

ARDMORE, Okla (KXII) - The Ardmore Tigers held signings for two track and field standouts with Ricky Smith Jr going to Oklahoma and Naughtica Douglas heading to Southeastern. For the first time in 23 years, the Tigers are sending a track and field athlete to Norman. Ricky Smith Jr, who won state in the 100 and 200, is headed to Oklahoma. He signed his official letter of intent to run track surrounded by family and friends in Ardmore.

North Texas IT Camp Opens Possibilities for Middle Schoolers

(TNS) — Middle school students flocked to Gainesville this week from across North Texas to learn more about software and the Internet. North Central Texas College hosted Go for IT!, a free, four-day camp tailored to show students career possibilities in Information Technology, including coding, 3-D printing, cybersecurity, drones and more. The students get access to hardware and software not available at their schools, and learn the hows and whys of their usage.

Two Ardmore Track Athletes sign letters of intent

ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Ardmore High School, one of the best track programs in the state had two of its runners sign their collegiate letters of intent on Thursday. Ricky Smith Jr. signed with the University of Oklahoma after previously committing to Southeastern Oklahoma State University for football. Smith Jr. won multiple medals at the OSSAA state track championships in May.
