MEDICINE LODGE, Kan. (KAKE) - A 58-year-old cement truck driver was killed when his truck went into a ditch and rolled numerous times in southern Kansas on Thursday. The accident happened at around 10 a.m. on McAdoo Road about two miles south of Elm Mills Road in northern Barber County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Anthony Peek was driving south when the cement truck crested a hill and caught loose sand on the edge of the roadway.

COATS, Kan. (WIBW) - A cement truck driver was killed Thursday morning when his vehicle crashed and rolled in Barber County in southwest Kansas, authorities said. The crash was reported at 10:05 a.m. Thursday about two miles south of McAdoo Road and Elm Mills Road. The location was about six miles south of the city of Coats.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Medicine Lodge man was killed Thursday morning in an accident involving a cement truck. Troopers said 58-year-old Anthony Peek was driving a cement truck south on McAdoo Road, about six miles south of Coats. The right front tire caught loose sand on the roadway and veered toward a ditch. The driver over-corrected and the truck went into the east ditch and rolled several times, coming to rest on its wheels.

COATS -- A Medicine Lodge man died Thursday when the cement truck he was driving overturned in rural Barber County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Anthony R. Peek, 58, was southbound on McAdoo Road in a 2013 Kenworth cement truck when he crested a hill about two miles south of Elm Mills Road, and his right front tire caught loose sand on the edge of the roadway.
