Sedalia Police Reports For May 18, 2022

This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Early Wednesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane in the area of South State Fair Boulevard and West 16th Street. Officers made contact with the driver, and detected the odor of intoxicants. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Bennett J. Hager, 23, of Fulton, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Hager was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Hager was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for DWI with a court date, and then released.

Sedalia Woman Arrested After Shooting Tuesday Evening

The following information comes from a Press Release issued by the Sedalia Police Department. On May 17, 2022, at approximately 6:48 p.m, the Sedalia Police Department responded to the 2500 block of East 9th Street for a report of shots fired. The victim, Mark Morgan, 57 years of age, reported that he had been shot at multiple times by a person known to him.

Charges filed in Columbia daycare bomb threat

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Boone County prosecutors have filed charges in a bomb threat to a Columbia daycare center. The documents laying out the accusations against Alexzander S. Green don't include the name of the daycare but mention the evacuation of scores of children and adults from the building after a bomb threat was called in Tuesday.

An area law-enforcement agency is asking for help from the public in locating a man with an active warrant. According to the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit, 43-year-old Adrien J. Crutchfield is wanted for two counts of probation violation on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. Powell is described as being 5-foot-6 and 225 pounds.

Columbia woman with a history of violence in the downtown arrested on numerous charges

A Columbia woman is facing five charges related to two separate assaults at restaurants in the downtown. Court records state officers were first called to Café Berlin on N. 10th Street last Friday afternoon for a woman assaulting an employee. Witnesses told police the employee had asked Samantha Albert, 29, to leave after she was spotted messing with some water pitchers. That’s when Albert allegedly struck the woman with a crutch then ran from the scene.
