Rich Schueneman Receives Leadership Award

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) selected Rich Schueneman as Civil Servant of the Year in the leadership category. On Wednesday, May 18th, USACE, St. Paul District commander Col. Karl Jansen presented the award to Schueneman. Propane Truck Fire on I-94 Near Tower City Wednesday

Oakes’ Season Concludes After 13-3 Loss

ENDERLIN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornadoes’ baseball season came to a close after a 13-3 loss to Northern Cass on a chilly Friday afternoon in Enderlin. The Jaguars’ offense started things off with a bang in the form of a three-run home run by senior catcher Jack Metzger which set the tone for the afternoon. Oakes responded by tying the game up after the third inning with solo home runs from junior infielder Fletcher Willprecht and senior infielder Howie Neustel. However, that would be all the offense for the Tornadoes. Northern Cass scored ten unanswered runs to run-rule Oakes in the sixth inning to end their season.
