Active law enforcement response ends in suicide

A nearly four-hour standoff between law enforcement and a man barricaded in a vehicle in Pinehurst ended in suicide on Friday afternoon. “During a traffic stop on July 1, along highway 15/501, the Pinehurst Police Department attempted to serve warrants for multiple felonies to a 52-year-old male residing in Pinehurst,” said the Village of Pinehurst in a press release.

Sheriff announces arrest after vehicle stop in Robbins

A 64-year-old man from Robbins is facing several drug charges after being arrested on Wednesday, according to a news statement from Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields. “On June 29, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 3400 block of NC Highway 705 in Robbins,” said Fields. “During the traffic stop, Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle.
