KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Police Department is actively searching for a wanted person who ran from officers on Thursday morning. Police are searching for Shaun Goin, 43, of Kearney. Police said Goin ran from police around 11:30 a.m. In the 2100 block of west 39th Street in Kearney.

The Buffalo County Historical Society is working on a book to celebrate the county’s sesquicentennial next year and is including a section on family histories. Gibbon man accused of sexually assaulting a minor

KEARNEY — A Gibbon man has been charged with first-degree sexual assault of a minor. Elijah Harper, 19, of Gibbon, is charged in Buffalo County District Court with felony first-degree sexual assault of a minor at least 12 years old, but less than 16, and contributing to the delinquency of a child, a misdemeanor. The alleged crimes took place in March and allege sexual penetration.
