Man wanted after robbery at Lynchburg convenience store

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - Lynchburg Police are searching for Tishaun Henri Conde, 27 of Lynchburg, as a suspect after a robbery at the J MART convenience store Monday night. Officers responded at around 8:05 p.m. to the store at 1605 Memorial Avenue after an employee called to report a customer was breaking into a Skillz game machine and stealing money. The employee tried to stop the man from leaving, but could not keep him back.

Summer program for bilingual students debuts in Rockbridge County

Liberty adds commitment from 2023 DT Eliyt Nairne

Liberty picked up a commitment from Eliyt Nairne, according to Damien Sordelett of the Lynchburg News & Advance. Nairne is a 6’2″, 260 pound athlete that attends Olympic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Liberty, one of the first schools that offered him back in April, are joined by Charlotte, Georgia State, Old Dominion, Navy, Western Kentucky, Kent State, Tulane, East Carolina, among others, that have offered Nairne to this point. When we caught up with him a few weeks ago, Nairne told ASOR that Liberty, East Carolina, Georgia State, and Old Dominion are currently recruiting him the hardest.

Parts of Rivermont Avenue reopened after Lynchburg gas explosion
