Police say it happened Monday at the intersection of 4th Street Southeast and 6th Avenue. That’s where a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Alexis Rowland of Watertown collided with a car driven by Hector Meza of Watertown.

Man from Canada identified as person killed in vehicle-motorcycle accident last week on I-29 near Watertown

A Winnipeg, Manitoba, man has been identified as the person who died Thursday (May 12, 2022) in a vehicle-motorcycle crash on 11 miles north of Watertown on I-29. Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates that a 2015 Honda 750 Aero motorcycle was southbound on Interstate 29 when it was rear-ended by a southbound 2010 Chevy Malibu. Andrzej Walczak, the 68-year-old motorcycle driver, was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
