Body found days after canoe capsized in Missouri River

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — A body was found in the Missouri River Wednesday morning, days after a canoe capsized on the Missouri River. Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Dallas Thompson confirmed that a victim had been found and crews were in the process of recovery. Officials have not released the victim's name.

Louisiana defeats Silex for Class 2 District 5 Title

SILEX, Mo.– The Louisiana Bulldogs defeated the Silex Owls 7-3 on Tuesday night to claim the Class 2 District 5 Title. In 2021, the Owls and Bulldogs met in the district championship, making Tuesday’s game a rematch. Silex defeated Louisiana 12-2 for the title last Spring. This year, the Bulldogs came to take care of unfinished business and fought to the end for the district plaque.

A little boy has been left unable to smile after his pet dog ripped off his cheek while they watched a Disney film in bed. Adams wins 2022 Golden Leaf Award

GODFREY - The Godfrey Women's Club recently presented the 2022 Golden Leaf Award to Scott Adams.  Adams has been in the professional real estate business since 1975 through: H. Adams Development Co. President. Responsibilities include overall management of commercial rental properties and land developments.  Adams was Co-Chairman of the Grafton, Illinois Flood Relief Committee during the Great Flood of 1993, working with city, county, state and federal officials and agencies to raise over $20 million in public and private funding to rebuild the infrastructure of the City of Grafton to prepare for the regrowth and expansion of residential, commercial and recreational facilities in Grafton.
