Rural Pierce man jailed after firing shots at officers

PIERCE - A rural Pierce man was arrested and is now in jail after firing at officers. According to Pierce County Attorney Ted Lohrberg, 27-year-old Colby Huff has been charged with two counts of attempted assault of a police officer in the first degree, two counts of use of a firearm to commit a felony, two counts of terroristic threats, tampering with evidence and false reporting.

WAUSA – Wausa Public Schools has decided to navigate the challenge of high fuel prices by buying a used charter bus as a cost-savings measure. The board of education on June 20 approved a quote of $51,000 from Navigator Motorcoaches Inc. of Norfolk for the purchase of a 2004 Prevost H3-45 Motor Coach.
