ROTHBURY, MI -- As the smoke from the fireworks cleared near the end of his futuristic funk show, Griz took the microphone to speak to the Forest Family in a serious tone. The musician and DJ, who was raised in Detroit, called on the thousands of fans packed around the outdoor stage at Electric Forest to come together in protest of the Supreme Court ruling upending abortion rights.

ROTHBURY, MI -- Electric Forest was rocking during the event’s first day with headlining performances by Disclosure, Louis the Child and The Disco Biscuits. The String Cheese Incident, a regular headliner at Electric Forest festivals, played the first of their scheduled three sets of the 2022 event at the intimate Carousel Club. Man reprimanded for bringing toddler to court

A Muskegon man was reprimanded by an Ottawa County judge for bringing his toddler to a court hearing Thursday. Willie Henderson told District Judge Craig Bunce that he thought his hearing was in the afternoon, although it was scheduled for 9 a.m. He stood in court before the judge at 2:30 p.m. with his 3-year-old son.
