GC Girls Basketball: Mildred loses in final seconds to 4A No. 7 Brownwood

GLEN ROSE -- Good teams want to play good competition. The Mildred Lady Eagles in participating in the Glen Rose Thanksgiving Showcase are facing some of the best teams in the state. The Lady Eagles came up short, losing 35-31, against the Brownwood Lady Lions (7-1), who are ranked No.7 in Class 4A.

Lions Score 100 In Basketball Victory Monday

The Brownwood Lions (1-2) jumped out to a 21 point lead and went on to slam Alvarado 100-61 Monday afternoon at Warren Gym. Five Lions finished in double figures led by Christian Kinzler with 23 points, Luke Moss with 22, Jakob Hataway with 17, Ike Hall with 14 and Bryson Monroe with 12 points. Hayden Noe, Thad Hinds, and Seth Oines chipped in two points apiece and Ryder Lancaster knocked down a free throw.
