HS FOOTBALL: Midland Christian rolls past Central Catholic, will play for state title

BROWNWOOD – The Midland Christian football team is really having fun shocking those who follow TAPPS Division I football. Behind the running of senior quarterback Ryver Rodriguez and a solid defensive performance, the Mustangs punched their ticket to their first TAPPS Division I state title game with a 41-14 victory over San Antonio Central Catholic on a chilly Saturday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.

HPU’s undergraduate nursing program receives national accreditation from CCNE

“The ‘gold standard’ for baccalaureate nursing education is national accreditation,” said Dr. Nina Ouimette, dean of the School of Nursing and professor of nursing. “Accreditation from the CCNE will affirm quality national education standards for our program. It enables our students to have more opportunities for graduate education and career choices, in addition to opening up eligibility for additional student scholarships and financial aid.”

Music Program at Coggin Intermediate Continues Spreading Joy

BROWNWOOD -- Forsan is going to the area round of the Class 2A Division I playoffs after its 22-15 bi-district victory over Goldthwaite on Friday night.
