Fond du Lac officer injured while arresting convicted felon

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A Fond du Lac officer was injured while trying to take a convicted felon into custody on Friday. According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, just before 6:30 p.m., officers were in the 100 block of Forest Avenue to arrest a 20-year-old Fond du Lac man who had a felony warrant.

Silver Alert for missing Fond du Lac man last seen Saturday morning

BERLIN, Wis. - The Berlin Police Department has issued a statewide Silver Alert for a 73-year-old Fond du Lac man last seen in Berlin around 6 a.m. Saturday, July 2. Lee Edwin William is described as a white male, 5'11", 179 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a white flannel shirt and possibly eyeglasses.

7-2-22 fdl police officer injured while making arrest

A Fond du Lac police officer was injured while taking a Fond du Lac man wanted on a felony warrant into custody. Shortly before 6:30pm Friday officers were in the 100 block of Forest Avenue looking to arrest the man when a short foot chase ensued. A Fond du Lac police officer received a shoulder injury when he tackled the subject to the ground. The officer was transported to St. Agnes Hospital where he was treated and released. The officer is a ten year veteran of the Police Department. A loaded handgun was found on the subject during the arrest. The 20-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Resisting, Felony Bail Jumping, Felony Probation and Parole Warrant, and was held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.

MISSING: William Lee, 73, from Fond du Lac

BERLIN, Wis. (WFRV) – A Missing and Endangered Persons Alert has been issued for a 73-year-old Fond du Lac man. According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, on Saturday morning, at around 6 a.m., William Lee wandered away on foot from a home located in the City of Berlin.

(AP) — Brandon Brown wanted a way to change the narrative behind the “Let’s go, Brandon” message after his first career NASCAR victory inadvertently fostered a chant that has been used to insult President Joe Biden. Brown found that new message thanks to the family of an 8-year-old child with autism. Brandon Brundidge of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, believed the ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ signs he saw were cheering him on. He started trying activities he’d never attempted before. His mother used that story to write a children’s book. The cover design of Brundidge’s book decorated Brown’s Camaro for his Xfinity Series race Saturday at Road America.
