GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department stated it will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints in Glasgow city limits between May 21 and May 31. The safety checkpoints will be but not limited to Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Hwy. and Happy Valley Road, according to police.

Bowling Green man arrested on DUI, hit-and-run charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Police arrested a man Saturday on charges related to striking a pedestrian while driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Bowling Green Police Department stated in a citation that they were dispatched to the intersection of Lost Woods Avenue and Nashville Road Saturday in response to a white Chevrolet Corvette hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene at around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 14.

Cave City Police arrests 2 following traffic stop, vehicle search

CAVE CITY, Ky. (WBKO) - Two men were arrested Friday following a traffic stop and search in Cave City. Xander Houchens, 18, was charged with careless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (10 dosage units of hallucinogens), trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Larry Bransford

Larry Wayne Bransford, age 72, of Glasgow, died Monday, May 16, 2022, at Greenview Regional Hospital. The son of the late David C. Bransford and the late Gladys (Follis) Bransford, he was born in Glasgow on January 15, 1950. He was a floor supervisor at Eaton Corporation and a U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Korea. Larry was the starting point guard for the 1968 State Champion Glasgow Scottie basketball team. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and united with Hopewell Baptist Church. There he served as an usher and teacher and worked faithfully in church for the Lord.
