Sears Is Closing 3 Stores in Washington: Is Yakima Valley on the List? (YES.)

Two Sears Hometown stores are closing up shop in Central Washington. Is Yakima Valley on the list? In a short answer, YES. It probably doesn't come as a surprise though. Some of us have seen the writing on the wall for a while now. It looks like the Sears & Roebuck Company of yesteryear is taking a new direction. I am old enough to remember being so excited getting my hands on a Sears Catalog when I was a kid! Did you get excited, too? I would always flip to the "Back to School" section for clothes. I never got any of them because my mom always did our clothes shopping at the Goodwill or gave me "new" stuff to wear from my friends' hand-me-down clothes, but still. I loved daydreaming about wearing those Sears catalog clothes!

Authorities say they've seen numerous crashes at the intersection over the last two years and a double fatal three-car crash at the intersection on March 20. Two days later a near head-on crash was reported at the intersection on March 22. Now city officials are doing what they can to prevent another deadly crash at 48th Avenue and Washington Avenue. Yakima City Engineer Bill Preston tells KIT News they're now implementing safety changes at the intersection after studying the situation.

Have You Heard of These 5 Luxurious Yakima Foot Spa Experiences?

This is your sign to pamper your busted feet with a good foot massage. I saw a story the other day about a country music celeb who bought out an entire foot spa for herself and some of her friends. Oh, what wouldn't I give to have THAT kinda money and that kinda life! It got me to thinking, though, about where the local foot spas are in town. I mean, sure, you can get a pedicure at any nail salon in town but I'm talking about a place that goes the extra mile. I'm talking about the foot spa experience.
