Three Injured In Accident In Grundy County

Three were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Grundy County Monday afternoon. State Troopers responded to the accident on NW 22nd, north of Trenton at about 4:30 pm. The report states 25-year-old Samantha L Knapp of Trenton was southbound when she lost control and ran off the right side of the road, striking an embankment, overturning onto the driver’s side and then back to its wheels.

Three Trenton residents, including a child, were injured Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle, rollover, accident just north of Trenton. Taken by EMS to Wright Memorial Hospital were the driver, 25-year-old Samantha Knapp as well as passengers, 29-year-old Brandon Burkhardt, and a seven-year-old boy. The highway patrol reported the two adults received moderate injuries and the young boy received minor injuries.

Trenton man scheduled for court on drug and weapon charge

Trenton resident Mitchell Dane Knapp is scheduled to be in Grundy County Circuit Court Tuesday on two felony counts. Thirty-two-year-old Knapp has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine. Knapp was arrested by the Highway Patrol in Grundy County late Friday night. The weapon was listed in the court information as a 38 caliber Remington firearm. Bond is $20,000 cash.

TRENTON, MO – Three Trenton residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon north of Trenton. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by 25-year old Samantha Knapp was southbound on Northwest 22nd Street, 1/2 mile north of Trenton. Knapp lost control and overcorrected. The vehicle travelled off the side of the roadway where it struck an embankment and overturned onto the drivers side. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels.

Trenton City Council approves rate increases for water and sewer services

By a narrow margin, the Trenton City Council Monday night approved increases in water and sewer rates. The increases are the figures recommended by the Trenton Utility Committee following rate studies by an outside company Toth and Associates. The committee had recommended a five-year rate plan to the city council. Increases in water rates are six point five percent in the first year, three-point nine percent in the second and third years, and one percent in each of years four and five.
