Aberdeen Police: Attempted robbery suspect wielding knife tasered, bean bagged

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - An Aberdeen man was tasered and shot with bean bags during an attempted robbery Friday morning, police say. Aberdeen Police and Brown County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 10 block of S. Court Street just before 5 am. The suspect was reportedly attempting to enter a vehicle in the area. Police say the vehicle’s owner confronted the suspect and that the suspect brandished a knife.

The pickup driver involved in a fatal crash Friday night is facing multiple charges and is set to appear in court later this week.
