A teen has been arrested in the broad-daylight shooting death of a Los Angeles-based drill rapper at a Bronx pharmacy earlier this month, authorities say.  River Jones, 18, was picked up by investigators Wednesday at a dorm building on the Monroe College campus in New Rochelle in Westchester County and faces a top charge of second-degree murder in the June 9 slaying of 27-year-old rapper Avanti Frowner, police and prosecutors said. NYC overnight shootings leave two dead

Two people were killed in separate shootings in Brooklyn overnight, police said. In the latest deadly incident, a 16-year-old male was fatally shot in the torso at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday near the corner of Sutter Avenue and Osborn Street in Brownsville, authorities said. EMS transported the “unconscious and unresponsive” teen to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said. There are no arrests. At about 9:20 p.m. Friday, a 43-year-old man was found shot multiple times in the chest in the vicinity of the 1700 block of Carroll Street, near Crown Street in the Weeksville section, police said. EMS transported the mortally wounded victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests.

A homeless man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing the street in East New York, Brooklyn, police said.
