CT Man Charged In Connection To Hit-Run Involving Massachusetts State Lieutenant

A Connecticut man has been charged in connection to a hit-and-run crash that injured a Massachusetts State Police lieutenant. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16 when the trooper was outside his cruiser on northbound I-495 north in Middlesex County, in the Town of Hopkinton, checking on another truck stopped on the shoulder when he was sideswiped, said Massachusetts State Police.

A mother and her young daughter were found dead on Thursday and authorities have ruled the deaths a murder-suicide. According to the Hartford Courant, Tracy Do, 46, and her 7-year-old daughter Layla Malon were found dead in their Westport home on Thursday. Initially, local reports indicated the deaths may have been a double homicide. But on Friday, authorities announced that a medical examiner had determined it was a murder-suicide: Do allegedly drowned the girl in the bathtub and then killed herself by stabbing herself in the chest and limbs with an unspecified sharp object.

14-year-old and 41-year-old shot in 2 separate shootings in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The New Haven Police Department are investigating two sperate shootings that took place less than 12 hours apart. A 41-year-old man was found by police with a gunshot wound, Friday night around 6:30. Police received a shot spotter alert and 911 calls about gunshots on George St. between Waverly St. and Day St. The victim was later transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
