Big Rapids Virtual School graduates 13 students

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Virtual School graduated 13 seniors at the Big Rapids High School auditorium Friday, May 20. Big Rapids teacher, Sue McCullen, gave the commencement address. She stressed the value of getting out in the world and finding your passion, quoting from “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss.

Police still investigating submerged van found in Rogers Pond

MECOSTA TWP. — The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office is still investigating a vehicle found submerged in Rogers Pond last week in Mecosta Township. On May 18, the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office Dive Team pulled a 2009 Dodge Caravan out of Rogers Pond. Rogers Pond is located on the Muskegon River, just north of Rogers Dam in Mecosta Township.
