Mound of dirt covering grave, help needed to dig out

WALKER - There's a large mound of dirt in the middle of a cemetery in Livingston Parish and it's sitting on top of a grave. Elaine Watts contacted 2 On Your Side after she says that pile of dirt has been there for a year and a half. Her loved ones are buried in Vickers Cemetery in Walker and she says the pile of dirt is on top of her brother's grave.

Man back in prison on second-degree murder charge after victim dies

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man was booked back into prison on a second-degree murder charge after the victim died in the hospital. The Baton Rouge Police Department says 20-year-old Edmond Revelle was arrested on a murder charge for the involvement in the death of 18-year-old Hayes Sellers. Police said Revelle used his fist to hit Sellers after Sellers tried to stop a fight in a church parking lot on Nebraska Street earlier this month.

Darian Ockman, former Louisiana Christian University softball player, hired as Thibodaux coach

Thibodaux High School has promoted assistant Darian Ockman as its new softball coach, the school announced Wednesday. Ockman, who is a former Louisiana Christian University pitcher, served as assistant coach and pitching coach the last two seasons. She will replace former Thibodaux coach Arthur Bernard, according to athletics director Tony Clark. Bernard resigned in April after a 13-15 season.

Corey Orgeron was found GUILTY of Simple Battery committed against his former client, Roydall Lumar, on October 15 at his Prairieville law office. Man dies after attempting to break up dispute on Nebraska Street; suspect arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — On May 8, Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the 2100 block of Nebraska Street regarding an unresponsive male in the parking lot. According to the arrest documents, 21-year-old Jayce Lambert was engaging in a verbal altercation with a female in the parking lot. As the victim, Hayes Sellers, attempted to diffuse the argument, Lambert turned his aggression towards Sellers.
