Municipalities ask to turn fire trucks over to city

The Ladysmith Common Council at its latest meeting was told to consider purchasing two tankers from the rural fire district since that entity made up of surrounding towns and villages that contract with the city for fire protection no longer has funds to maintain the vehicles or buy new trucks in the future.

20-year-old woman missing from Ladysmith

UPDATE: Ashlyn Dicus has been located safely. A twenty-year-old woman from Ladysmith has been declared missing after not being heard from since Friday, August 5. Ashlyn Grace Dicus was last seen on Friday and has not been heard from since. She is described as a white female standing 4″11, weighing 90 pounds. Dicus has long brown hair and has a significant raised scar on left side of neck as well as raised scars on shoulders.

Robert Kudingo, Sr.

Robert George Kudingo, Sr., 91, of Ladysmith, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, at Care & Rehab-Ladysmith. Bob was born on Nov. 22, 1930, in East Rutherford, N.J., to Frank and Florence (Leonhard) Kudingo. He lived in the Ladysmith area since the 1930s. On Nov. 30, 1984, he married Marilyn J. Nelson Krisik.

RUSK COUNTY -- The Ladysmith Police Department via the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network has issued a Missing Endangered Person Alert for Grace Ashlyn. Ashlyn was last seen on Friday, August 5, 2022, and has not been heard from since. There is a concern for her welfare and anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Rusk County Dispatch Center (715) 532-2200.
