Diane Rollins named Piscataquis Community head girls basketball coach

GUILFORD, Maine (WABI) - Longtime former Central girls basketball coach Diane Rollins has been hired as the new head girls basketball coach at Piscataquis Community in Guilford. Rollins coached Central for 16 seasons earning more than 200 victories. She also coached the Red Devils field hockey program for almost 30 years. She replaces Brian Gaw who had been Pirates head coach for 17 seasons.

RSU 68 board sets 2022 assessments

DOVER-FOXCROFT — A week after voters in the four RSU 68 communities approved a near $12 million budget for the 2021-22 academic year via a combined 349-89 vote, the school board formally set the assessments for Charleston, Dover-Foxcroft, Monson and Sebec during a June 15 meeting at the SeDoMoCha School.

SANGERVILLE — The East Sangerville Grange is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Don Hall Scholarship. First-year scholarships have been awarded to Maxon (Sarah) Richards and Cassie Ann-Taylor Chambers, both 2021 graduates of Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. In addition, a second-year renewal scholarship has been awarded to Brooke Kujawski, a 2019 graduate of Piscataquis Community High School.
