Police Arrest 34 in Sweep to Clean Up Open-Air Drug Market in Brockton

More than 30 people were arrested in a sweep meant to combat an open-air drug market in Brockton, Massachusetts, Tuesday morning, police said. Over 40 people were identified and 34 people were arrested, including "violent and prolific street-level dealers," Massachusetts State Police Col. Christopher Mason said at a news conference.

Passenger tried to carry loaded firearm onto flight at Boston Logan International Airport, TSA says

A passenger at Boston Logan International Airport brought a loaded firearm in his carry-on bag Friday, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). TSA officers detected the firearm and immediately alerted the Massachusetts State Police. When the state police responded, they discovered the 9mm firearm was loaded with a chambered round, according to a statement. They then confiscated the firearm and issued the Massachusetts man, who was not named, a summons.
