State B Golf: Celi Chapman, Aubree Mitchum tied for lead

FAIRMONT — There will be some tight races in the final round of the State B Golf Tournament. In the girls tournament, Jefferson's Celi Chapman and Aubree Mitchum kept pace with each other and finished Tuesday's round tied at 81. They're followed by Bigfork's Keni Wade (86) and Emma Woods (87), the defending medalist.

Eureka’s Casazza leads State B golf

ANACONDA — Erik Casazza of Eureka leads the boys field after the first day of the State B golf tournament at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Golf Course Tuesday, which was moved up a day due to weather concerns later in the week. Casazza, who tied for fourth last year as a junior, fired a 76 to lead Riley Smith of Glasgow by one stroke. The Boulder boys team has a two-stroke lead on 2021 champion Columbus with 337. Boulder’s Celi Chapman is tied with Aubree Mitchum for first in the girls field. Both carded an 81. Bigfork’s Keni Wade is third with 86 strokes. Huntley Project girls, Columbus boys; Reed Point/Rapelje girls, Park City boys win district titles

LAUREL- Check out some of the top highlights from the District 4B and 6C track and field meet on Friday in Laurel. Huntley Project girls won the District 4B crown with 184 points. Columbus finished in second with 90 points, edging Red Lodge who finished with 89. The Columbus boys won the team title with 144 points, just enough to top Huntley Project's 138.
