In the minds of many, there’s nothing better than a good plate of fresh, hot catfish. That was the case June 9 as the Jacksboro Lions Club hosted its annual Fish Fry. The east side of the Jack County Courthouse resembled a to go restaurant with cookers, preparers and baggers getting the food out to hungry customers. Customers were allowed to eat-in among the shade trees nearby or take it to go which many decided to do. Plates consisted of beans, cole slaw, fish, hush puppies, biscuit and the normal accompaniments.
