The Highway Patrol reports two women sustained minor injuries resulting from a van sideswiping a sports utility vehicle near Brimson on Friday afternoon, June 24th. Emergency medical services transported the driver of the SUV, 32-year-old Amy Nguyen of Trenton, to Wright Memorial Hospital. The driver of the van, Felicia Terhune of Jamesport, refused treatment at the scene.

A Chillicothe wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested in Livingston County on Thursday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 10:46 A.M. they arrested 53-year-old Patrick W. Evans who was wanted on both a Livingston County warrant for resisting an officer and a Chillicothe Police Department warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

A Chillicothe man was arrested by State Troopers on Livingston County and Chillicothe warrants. Troopers arrested 53-year-old Patrick W Evans at about 10:45 am on a Chillicothe warrant for alleged no insurance and a Livingston County warrant for alleged resisting an officer. Evans was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the posting of bond.

Two new troopers have been assigned to Troop H, in Northwest Missouri. Troopers Saxton W. Pliley and Jackson D. Schmedding will report for duty on July 11th. Trooper Pliley, is from Jamesport and has been assigned to Zone 10, serving Daviess and DeKalb counties. Trooper Saxton served in the United States Marine Corps from 2017 to 2021, where he obtained the rank of corporal.

While year-to-date precipitation in Trenton is nearly one inch below normal, other areas of Missouri are beginning to show some drought-like conditions. The drought monitor map, released on Thursday for conditions as of Tuesday, indicates that 29% of the state is experiencing abnormally dry conditions. That figure is up from just 3.66% of the state experiencing abnormally dry conditions in the report last week. This includes Lafayette and Saline counties plus small portions of the adjacent counties of Carroll, Ray, Johnson, Pettis, Cooper, and Howard.

Several Bookings at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail are reported by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. Wednesday at about 1:00 pm, 52-year-old Kent A Milligan of Norborne was booked for alleged Terroristic Threats. The arrest on a Livingston County warrant was in Lafayette. Milligan was transported to the Chillicothe Police Department and later to the Jail. He is held with no bond allowed.
