Chickasha woman injured in accident

 The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a Chickasha woman was injured in a single vehicle crash on Monday, June 20 at approximately4:45 pm.  A 2007 Lexus ES350 driven by Jamie Oberlag, female, 67, of Chickasha, OK was west bound on County Road 1370 at a high rate of speed. The driver struck a bump and went airborne, departed the roadway to the right, and went into a broad slide before striking a tree and coming to rest. The driver was pinned for approximately 20 minutes before being freed by the Anadarko Fire Department utilizing the jaws of life.

Injured Ratliff City man walks 2 miles from collision for help

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Collin K. Satterfield, 36 of Ratliff City, OK. walked from a collision scene to the Ratliff City Fire Department for assistance. He was transported by Air Evac from Ratliff City Fire Department to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. and admitted in stable condition with trunk internal and head injuries.

Chickasha Salutes the 4th at Shannon Springs Park

Fireworks will again be lighting up the sky over Shannon Springs Park on the Fourth of July thanks to the Chickasha Forward Association. 14 Year old loses life in rollover near Bray

A Duncan teenager lost her life in a single vehicle rollover crash near Bray on Monday. The name of the victim was withheld.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 2008 Pontiac driven by a 16 year old male juvenile was traveling east on Renfrow Road, failing to stop at a stop sign on Monday about 3:15 pm. The accident occurred approximately ¼ mile west of the intersection or Renfrow Road and Clearcreek Road,1½ miles west and 1 mile south of Bray.

Sonny was born July 30, 1926, to Les and Viola Smith in Comanche. He married Melba "Pal" Smith on June 24, 1944. They enjoyed square dancing, fishing and traveling to South Texas. Car accident leads to arrest

A two-car accident in Meridian led to a felony arrest of a Duncan man last Tuesday when he was allegedly under the influence. According to the court report, Bobby Craig Curtis, 52, was traveling in his pickup truck on Oliver Road east of Old Highway 81 when he hit the car of Rosa Lee Tidwell, 91, of Comanche.
