BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men wanted on active warrants for their arrest. The sheriff’s office says the two individuals are wanted after being indicted in reference to a home invasion shooting that occurred in Country Living Estates Mobile Home Park in May 2019.

Todd County Grand Jury indicts Heltsley Road murder suspect

The Todd County Grand Jury recently indicted the Lewisburg man accused in the May 13 shooting death of 57-year old Deborah McGee outside her Helstley Road home near Clifty. The grand jury indicted 44-year old David Odeal Slagle for capital murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Around 200 show for women’s rights protests at Circus Square Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Around a total of 200 people gathered for protests held for women’s rights on Saturday and Sunday. The BG Freedom Walkers organized the protests at Circus Square Park, which took place at 2 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The overall goal was to have a community of women come out in solidarity and protest for women’s rights, specifically the right to control their own bodies and have a choice, according to the group.

Local EMS provide Narcan training in Scottsville

Victory Hill Dream Center and the Allen County Scottsville Faith Coalition partnered to make the event possible. The event’s main goal was to help others recognize overdoses and learn to administer nasal Narcan, a lifesaving drug that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.

ACLU Lawsuit: Abortion ban violates Kentucky constitution

Kentucky’s new abortion ban is being challenged by abortion-rights supporters. They filed a lawsuit Monday arguing that women are being “forced to remain pregnant against their will” in violation of the state’s constitution. The suit was filed in Louisville. It takes aim at a 2019 Kentucky law that called for an immediate halt to nearly all abortions in the event that the Roe v. Wade ruling were to be overturned.
