Five kittens rescued from storm drain in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Five kittens are safe and sound after they were rescued from a storm drain at a Tucson construction site on Wednesday, June 29. The kittens were rescued by the Tucson Fire Department, Pima county Animal Control and Murphy’s Law Rescue, based in Willcox.

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that six Arizona counties, including Pima, Cochise, and Maricopa, now have a medium level of community spread. Apache and Navajo counties were returned to the high-risk category. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available to Arizona Small Businesses

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Small nonfarm businesses in Cochise, Graham, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yuma counties are now eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought in Pima and Santa Cruz counties that began May 17, 2022.

Eastern Star donates $75k to MGRMC Foundation

SAFFORD —Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Foundation was the recent recipient of a significant donation. Safford’s Arcadia Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star donated $75,000 to the foundation, which will add another $25,000 in order to purchase four new labor and delivery beds, and two postpartum beds, for MGRMC’s Obstetrics Department.
